Welcome to the cattery section of my website.

In addition to grooming and my work as a veterinary assistant, I also run a small-scale Maine Coon cattery.

Our first litter was born in February 2023, and we hope to have another litter by the end of the year.

Of course, nature will have the final say in this.

A LIttle history

I have been surrounded by cats my entire life, even in my childhood. My mother had a fondness for Siamese cats and was even a breeder of these graceful creatures. We frequently attended cat shows together, where we admired the beauty of various breeds.

Over the years, I had many European Shorthair cats as companions. Often, these were bottle-fed kittens that I lovingly raised by hand. Through this, I gained valuable knowledge and experience in caring for these little beings.

Growing Passion for Maine Coons

My work as a veterinary assistant and cat groomer fueled my growing love for Maine Coons. Their impressive size, soft fur, and majestic tails sparked my desire to have such a beautiful cat in my home.

Eventually, we bought a Maine Coon without a pedigree, as the importance of a pedigree wasn't clear to me at the time, and my partner didn't understand its significance either. This cat, named Storm, had two litters with us. Of course, I had her DNA tested and screened for FeLV, FIV, patellar luxation, and umbilical hernia. From these litters, we had five healthy kittens, one of which we kept. Storm's second litter only had one kitten. Her daughter, Jacky, from the first litter, was spayed and never had kittens.

Expanding the Cattery

Through my work, we acquired our large, red Maine Coon bear named Pooh. Pooh came to me from a client who could no longer care for him due to the medical attention he needed at the time. She wanted to give him the best chance, and that was with me. I am so grateful that this gentle giant came into my life.

Unfortunately, at 1.5 years old, Pooh was diagnosed with hip dysplasia (epiphysiolysis), requiring the removal of both hip joints.

This experience made me think deeply. I wanted to continue breeding but with a queen suitable for breeding, having all the necessary tests, healthy bloodlines, and so on. As a beginning breeder, I wondered where to start.

the Arrival of Sally, Lexie, Djuna, Joy and Lily

Fortunately, through a breeder friend, I was able to acquire Sally, which was a huge relief.

Later, our Lexie joined the family, and now Djuna, Joy and Lily has also become part of our cattery.

All ladies have been tested on all aspects: HCM, PKD, HD (1), SMA, DNA, FeLV, FIV, patellar luxation, and umbilical hernia.

Our first litter arrived in February 2023, and we hope to have another litter by the end of the year.

Of course, nature will have the final say in this.
